The 2024 M&O and DAA Overrides Passed!
Thank you to everyone who voted yes on the M&O and DAA overrides for Tempe Elementary. These questions will fund better facilities for our children and provide them with the necessary resources to grow. Thank you for providing the funding our schools dearly need!
The importance of continuing our Tempe Elementary District Overrides means directly impacting students in the classroom and teacher salaries for a better future. The Tempe Elementary School District Governing Board has called for voters to renew the M&O and DAA Overrides, which are essential to provide safe and modern learning environments.
Our M&O Override dollars provide funding for full day kindergarten teachers, PE teachers, counselors, gifted teachers, general and instrumental music teachers, and helps fund additional teachers to maintain class sizes. Our DAA Override dollars fund our 1:1 access to technology at all schools and grade levels, cyber security enhancements, interactive classroom devices, and provide our kitchens better equipment for healthy meals. In addition, the DAA Override will provide funding to improve furniture, new playground equipment and shade structures, and software that supports student attendance and records, bus routing, finance and human resources.
Approving both Overrides means our children will continue to receive the excellent educational opportunities in safe, inspiring, efficient and lovely learning environments that you have come to expect as a resident of the Tempe Elementary School District. Innovative and exceptional educational learning environments for students provide for excellent schools, which in turn improves property values and strengthens our local economy all while giving them opportunities to learn new skills, explore new ideas, and grow as learners. Every child in Tempe, and everywhere for that matter, deserves to have what they need to learn.
We are asking for a continuation of our existing Overrides. We would be most grateful for your continued support to sustain and enhance Tempe Elementary’s unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in academic achievement and financial stability. Please mail your ballot and vote “Yes” on or before October 29.
